Apple has warned of an inevitable price increase for its devices

Apple confirmed an upcoming price increase for its devices, citing memory chip supply disruptions, CEO Tim Cook told The Wall Street Journal.

According to Cook, the current supply situation has become unsustainable: the company is making efforts to minimize price increases for end consumers, but it is impossible to avoid them entirely. The Apple CEO did not specify a specific timeframe, the scope of the changes, or the list of affected devices.

The publication noted that Mac computers and iPads could be among the first to see price increases. Significantly, Apple already raised the starting price of the Mac Mini last month, outside of the new model launch cycle.

The company's next major announcement is expected in September: Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 18 line of smartphones, which, according to reports, will include the first foldable iPhone in the brand's history.
