On June 17, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The parties particularly emphasized that bilateral cooperation between the national parliaments of Turkmenistan and China is being enriched with new content and serves as an important mechanism for legislative support of strategic projects.

During the meeting, the issue of organizing a training seminar on enhancing the role of legislative bodies and strengthening cooperation in the "China-Central Asia" format for representatives of the parliaments of the countries of the region was discussed. This seminar will be held by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.

Confidence was expressed that this training seminar will be an important step in exchanging mutual experience in the legislative system, strengthening mutual understanding and multilateral cooperation, according to the Mejlis website.
