USA and Turkmen universities plan to launch a joint MBA program

Kent State University (USA) and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan are working on launching a joint MBA program. This was announced by U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Sarah Rogers at a press briefing during her visit to Turkmenistan.

"During this visit, I discussed a partnership that is currently under development: Kent State University plans to launch an MBA program in collaboration with the Turkmen side," she said, adding that this is just one example of possible cooperation between the two countries in the educational sphere.

Rogers emphasized that educational exchanges can serve not only humanitarian but also strategic goals. As an example, she cited the new Fulbright program launched in Uzbekistan during the same trip—on critical minerals. According to her, such initiatives are directly linked to ensuring the supply chains of strategic raw materials.

The Deputy Secretary of State also noted that she worked on similar projects during her visits to India and Nepal. "There are dozens of opportunities, and I'm very optimistic about what the next few months will bring," she concluded.

Rogers' visit to Turkmenistan is part of a regional tour that also includes India, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. The trip aims to develop trade diplomacy, preserve cultural heritage, and promote digital freedom and innovation.
