Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Kerimli, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the parties discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation and emphasized the role of culture in strengthening fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries. Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation between cultural institutions, museums, libraries, creative groups, and specialized educational organizations.

Azerbaijan Culture Days are taking place in Ashgabat and Arkadag over three days. The program of events includes film screenings, lectures on Azerbaijan's literary and artistic heritage, and the presentation of several exhibitions. The event will culminate in a gala concert featuring masters of Azerbaijani art.

The parties also emphasized the importance of implementing joint cultural projects and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of both countries, and agreed to intensify contacts between representatives of the creative intelligentsia.

In addition, an exchange of views was held on the development of bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations and cultural platforms.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties and expressed confidence in continuing constructive dialogue for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
