A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in a tourism summit in Beijing

A Turkmen delegation is participating in the WTCF Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2026, which is taking place from June 1 to 4 at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Beijing's Haidian District. The delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Ashgabat City Hall.

The event is organized by the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF). This year's summit, held under the theme "Smart Tourism – A Better Future," brings together representatives of government agencies, relevant ministries, tourism organizations, and businesses from 58 countries and more than 70 cities.

One of the forum's central themes was the implementation of modern digital technologies in the tourism industry. Participants placed particular emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence to improve the quality of tourism services. The summit featured robotic tour guides, intelligent translation systems, and AI-powered solutions for creating personalized content for travelers.

The business program also included the presentation of the International Destination Competitiveness Index. According to the published ranking, Beijing ranked first among the world's digital tourism cities.

The summit serves as an important platform for exchanging experiences, discussing new trends in the tourism industry, and strengthening international cooperation in the field. The participation of the Turkmen delegation provides an opportunity to learn about leading global practices and establish new professional contacts in the industry.
