Former “Manchester United” and Real Madrid midfielder Sir David Beckham will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce website.

The unveiling ceremony for the star on Hollywood Boulevard will take place on June 12. Actor Tom Cruise and the former footballer's wife, Victoria Beckham, a former member of the Spice Girls, will perform at the Los Angeles event.

Beckham is 51 years old. During his playing career, he played for “Manchester United”, “Real”, “Milan”, “Los Angeles Galaxy”, and Paris Saint-Germain. With the Red Devils, the midfielder won the English Premier League six times, the FA Cup twice, and the Champions League once.

With “Real”, he won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup, with PSG, the French championship, and two MLS titles with the “Galaxy”. Beckham played 115 matches for the England national team, scoring 17 goals.

In May, Beckham became the first British athlete to reach £1 billion in wealth. He is currently a co-owner of MLS club “Inter Miami”.
