Over five hundred tons of the valuable raw material—silk cocoons—have been harvested in the Dashoguz region, exceeding the planned target. Silkworm breeders from the Shavat and Garashsyzlyk etraps have particularly excelled, reports Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

Among the large farms that successfully continued their work commitments were farmers from the Sadulla Rozmetov Agricultural Joint-Stock Company in the Shavat etrap, who harvested six tons of cocoons more than planned.

Thanks to the measures taken, the region now has all the capabilities for large-scale silkworm cocoon production, including a robust feed supply. Thousands of tenant farmers have accumulated extensive experience in silkworm larval rearing, actively participating in this responsible campaign every year and implementing modern scientific recommendations in their production.
