Children from the capital's "Döwletliler köşgi" Palace, vacationing at the "Çynar" Children's Center in Gökdere, received bicycles as a gift from the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.

As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, the ceremony is timed to coincide with World Bicycle Day, celebrated on June 3.

World Bicycle Day was established by a UN General Assembly resolution at the initiative of Turkmenistan. This year, the celebration is held under the motto "Independent and Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Determined Winged Horses."

At the gift presentation ceremony, R. Bazarov, Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, emphasized that caring for children has been an unwavering principle of the Turkmen people for centuries and has gained even greater scope this year.
