Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the National Program for Transforming the Country into a Tobacco-Free Country for 2026–2030, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The document also approved an action plan for implementing the program. Ministries, agencies, and local authorities in the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, are instructed to ensure its implementation.

The program, the statement notes, is aimed at strengthening the spiritual and physical health of the population, improving citizens' well-being, and increasing life expectancy.
