Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the national forestry program for 2026-2030. The document also approved an action plan for its implementation, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The resolution was adopted to strengthen the legal framework for state environmental policy, minimize the impact of climate change, and increase the resilience of ecosystems and forestry to its consequences.

The program aims to implement Turkmenistan's National Strategy on Climate Change.
