Turkmen high school students won gold medals at the International Olympiad in India

Students from Turkmenistan won several gold medals, as well as silver and bronze, at the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for high school students, organised by Amity University in Noida, India from May 25 to 30.

The Turkmen team competed in mathematics (theoretical part), physics (theoretical part and lab), and chemistry (theoretical part and lab).

The following teams won medals:

  • In Mathematics, Muhammetmyrat Muhammetov, an 11th-grade student at specialized secondary school No. 6, won a gold medal;

  • In Physics, Mehdi Shemmiev, a 9th-grade student at secondary school No. 79, won a gold medal.

  • In chemistry - Halilmyrat Gurbanmuradov, 11th-grade student of specialized secondary school No. 87 - gold and silver medals; Shatlyk Jumageldiyev, 11th-grade student of specialized secondary school No. 86 - silver and bronze medals; Yakup Nuriyev - bronze medal.

The team's preparation for the Olympiad was led by teachers from the Gujurly Bilim Merkeziniň educational center, Dortguly Gylyjov and Meretguly Gurbanov.
