The head of Turkmenistan ordered the organization of high-level celebrations in honor of Gurban Bayram

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev and regional governors. He reviewed progress in the country's agricultural sector and gave instructions on organizing the Gurban Bayram holiday at a high level, according to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Prime Minister Atahalliyev reported that the country's regions are taking the necessary measures to ensure the organized grain harvesting campaign and its completion within the established timeframe. Inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, application of mineral fertilizers, and irrigation are being carried out in cotton fields in accordance with agricultural standards using specialized equipment. Potato, vegetable, melon, and other food crops are being tended, harvested, and silkworm cocoons are being harvested and delivered to the state.

Summing up the report, the head of state emphasized that timely implementation of agricultural practices, strict adherence to relevant standards, and the systematic implementation of innovative methods contribute to high yields and further strengthening food abundance in the country. The President addressed a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister and also instructed the meeting participants to ensure that all seasonal fieldwork is carried out in strict compliance with agricultural requirements.

In addition, Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions on the high-level organization of cultural events and celebrations in honor of Gurban Bayram. According to a previously issued presidential decree, the holiday will be celebrated in the country on May 27, 28, and 29.
