The Uzbek city of Namangan has entered the Guinness World Records, setting a world record for "Largest number of flowers planted collectively in one month," podrobno.uz reports.

In 2026, 150 million flower saplings were planted in the region in preparation for the traditional flower festival. By comparison, in 2025, the same figure was 100 million.

At the festival's opening ceremony, Guinness World Records representative Sheida Subasi presented the official certificate confirming the achievement to Namangan Region Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazakov.

Thus, Namangan is one of the few cities in the world to have achieved such a feat.
