Turkmenistan and the United States are preparing for the visit of an American business delegation to Ashgabat. The issue was discussed at a meeting between Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Washington, Esen Aydogdyev, and Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council, along with representatives of Council member companies, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport, agricultural, energy, and industrial sectors, as well as in the private sector.

The ambassador presented Turkmenistan's economic priorities in the context of the 35th anniversary of independence.

Meeting participants noted the key role of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council in strengthening direct business dialogue between the two countries.
