A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev is participating in the Education World Forum 2026, which is taking place from May 17 to 21 in London.
Ministerial initiatives and expert discussions have already taken place during the forum, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
During a high-level session organized by the OECD, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and the Learning Planet Institute, the Turkmen delegation presented the country's ongoing efforts to integrate climate resilience and environmental education principles into the national education system. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the National Climate Plan, the development of the Green School pilot project, and collaboration with UNICEF on the introduction of modern STEM approaches and adaptive educational tools.
Next, at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, representatives from Turkmenistan participated in a specialized seminar, "From Vision to Reality: Advancing Education Systems with Apple," dedicated to scalable digital transformation, developing leadership in education, training teachers and IT personnel, and creating a sustainable digital educational environment.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Turkmen delegation continues to participate in parallel events, expert discussions, and bilateral meetings, presenting priority areas for reforming the country's education system.
