A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deryageldy Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag, is participating in the 13th session of the World Urbanization Forum (WUF13), held under the auspices of UN-Habitat in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

During his speech at the forum, the head of the Turkmen delegation presented the country's experience in modern urban development, using the city of Arkadag as an example. He stated that the new administrative center successfully combines the concepts of a "smart," "green," and safe city, and includes a developed infrastructure for environmentally friendly transportation, a barrier-free environment, and a medical center. The project is based on a scientific analysis of environmental factors.

Ahead of the forum, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Deryageldy Orazov. During the meeting, the two discussed the WUF13 agenda, as well as the progress of the construction of a mosque in Fuzuli, which the Turkmen side is building as a symbol of friendship between the two peoples.
