The President of Turkmenistan expressed condolences to the leadership of India

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences over the numerous victims of the floods in India, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

"President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to the President of the Republic of India, Draupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the numerous casualties, injuries, and destruction caused by severe storms and heavy rains in the state of Uttar Pradesh," the statement said.

The President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims at this difficult time, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

According to the Indian Express newspaper, the death toll from a severe storm in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has risen to 111, with another 72 people injured and more than 220 homes damaged. Local authorities reported that wind gusts during the storm reached 60-70 kilometers per hour.
