National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, presented cups to Turkmen jockeys who won races at the Kazan International Equestrian Complex, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
Master jockey B. Agamyradov confidently won one of the races, demonstrating a high level of professionalism. In the 1800-meter race, B. Berdimuhammedov finished first. Turkmen riders competed on Tatar horses and won prizes.
Following the competition, a formal awards ceremony was held. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally presented the cups to the winners and congratulated them on their success. Special prizes were established at the races in honor of the Ahal-Teke horses, which were awarded to Turkmen jockeys.
The Kazan International Equestrian Complex is one of the largest in Europe. Its total area is approximately 90 hectares. The complex's infrastructure includes racing tracks 1800 and 1600 meters long, as well as grandstands with a capacity of 6 000 spectators.
The competition was held within the framework of the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum."
