The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan held an online competition in the subject "Russian Language in Specialty" among students from higher education institutions across the country.
According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," 82 students representing 17 Turkmen universities participated in the competition, titled "World Languages – Paths of Friendship."
Twenty-eight students won prizes.
1st place was awarded to 7 students: Sona Muhammetberdiyeva (International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev), Mammetaman Mammedov and Zohre Orazberdiyeva (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan), Merjen Kovusova (International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs), Shadzhan Serdarov (International University of Humanities and Development), Ekaterina Obedkova (Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov) and Nurmurat Atahanov (Turkmen State Institute of Finance).
Ten students took second place, and eleven took third place.
As the organizers noted, the competition helped identify talented young people with a high level of Russian language proficiency in their respective fields.
