National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazan to participate in the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum." This was reported by the press service of the head of Tatarstan.

"Rustam Minnikhanov met the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Kazan airport," the statement said.

As previously reported, the visit is organized to further develop Turkmenistan's strategic cooperation with Russia. In addition to participating in the forum, the trip also includes exhibitions and conferences such as "Cooperation between Russia and the Islamic World EXPO," "International Real Estate Market," the "Kazan Halal Market" international trade fair, and the "Modest Fashion Day" festival.

The visit's program also includes sporting competitions. Their holding takes on particular significance in the context of this year's motto in Turkmenistan: "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Determined Winged Steeds."
