Representatives from 20 countries took part in the international forum in Ashgabat

Yesterday, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted an international scientific and practical conference in a hybrid format on the topic "Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development."

Representatives from 20 countries and more than 150 scientists, experts, professors, and teachers from Turkmenistan participated in the forum.

Participating countries included the United States, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Iran, Kazakhstan, Germany, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, China, Oman, Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, India, France, Korea, Ukraine, and Belarus, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The conference, aimed at broadly promoting Turkmenistan's initiatives to ensure global peace, featured presentations from experts in geopolitics, diplomacy, and history. The event provided an effective platform for discussing current issues in international relations and seeking scientifically sound solutions.

The conference also featured numerous online presentations by foreign representatives. It was noted that Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality is an important tool for strengthening peace and good-neighborliness in the region and throughout the world and opens up broad opportunities for the development of multilateral diplomacy.

The conference continued its work in the following sections: "International Law and the Neutrality of Turkmenistan," "Economic Diplomacy: An Effective Tool for Cooperation to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals," "Cultural Diplomacy: Principles of Humanitarian Relations of National and Universal Significance," and "World Experience in Training Specialists in the Field of International Relations: Scientific, Educational, and Methodological Aspects."

Of particular importance within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference was the organization of special master classes for young students. Delegation leaders, teachers, scientists, and experts representing various countries met with the students and shared their diplomatic knowledge, experience, and academic perspectives, the source notes.
