During the Malaysian delegation's visit to Turkmenistan, members of the group, led by the Chairman of the Malaysian Prime Minister's Advisory Committee on Political Affairs, met with the leadership of the state-owned concern Türkmennebit, the Watan news program reported.

During the talks, the parties discussed developing cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. Participants confirmed their commitment to fully exploiting the potential of the bilateral partnership between Turkmenistan and Malaysia in the energy sector.

Following the negotiations, a signing ceremony was held to sign a protocol on the commercial terms of the production sharing agreement between the state concern Türkmennebit and the company Petronas Çarigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd.
