Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkmenistan Gismat Gezalov visited Ashgabat-based home front worker Tagira Aliyeva and congratulated her on Victory Day. During the visit, the diplomat presented her with flowers and a gift, the embassy reported.

Gezalov emphasized that the veteran's selfless work during the Great Patriotic War deserves the deepest respect and wished her good health and a long life. The ambassador also noted that in both Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, veterans are highly respected by the state and society.

Aliyeva thanked them for their attention, wished peace and prosperity to both countries, and shared her memories of the war years, the statement noted.

During the war, Tagira Aliyeva lived in the Irtysh region of Kazakhstan, where she and other young people worked in the agricultural fields, providing food for the front.
