The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan organized the return of a group of compatriots from Iran in transit through Turkmenistan, Dunyo news agency reports.
It is noted that, in coordination with the Turkmen authorities, the Uzbek diplomatic missions in Ashgabat and Tehran promptly resolved all necessary visa and transportation issues. As a result, 41 Uzbek citizens were safely received at the Sarahs-Serakhs and Gaudan-Bajgiran border crossings. Embassy staff ensured their safe passage to their destinations, the statement noted.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry emphasized that the coordinated actions of diplomatic missions and Turkmen authorities demonstrates the high level of trust and good-neighborly relations between the states of the region.
