Days of Turkmenistan Culture to be held in Armenia

Turkmenistan has proposed holding the next Days of Culture in Armenia, according to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The proposal was voiced during a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan in Yerevan.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the Armenian side for the invitation to participate in the representative international forum "Yerevan Dialogue 2026", which is scheduled for May 5-6.

During the talks, diplomats noted the high level of political and diplomatic interaction between the two countries. It was emphasized that regular high-level dialogue forms the foundation of bilateral cooperation. Regular consultations between the foreign ministries were identified as an important tool for partnership.

The parties noted their close cooperation on international platforms. The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the Armenian side for its support of Turkmenistan's foreign policy initiatives, put forward within authoritative international structures.

Regarding trade and economic cooperation, the meeting participants emphasized the need to intensify existing instruments for diversifying and increasing mutual trade volumes. In this regard, the coordinating role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation was noted. A willingness to create conditions for direct interaction between commercial entities and the private sector of the two countries was also expressed.

In the context of developing cultural and humanitarian partnership, its high level was noted. To further strengthen humanitarian ties between peoples, the Turkmen side proposed holding future Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia, the statement noted.
