Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea are strengthening their partnership in various areas

Over the past week, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Lee Won-jae conducted a series of working visits, during which he discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in shipbuilding, transportation, communications, and education with the Turkmen side, according to the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ashgabat.

On May 1, the diplomat visited the Balkan Shipyard, where he met with the company's director, Guychmurat Amanov, inspected the construction site for multipurpose dry cargo ships, and met with employees of Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology (KSIT). The parties discussed the current status of the shipbuilding project, a successful example of economic cooperation between the two countries, and outlined ways to further develop their collaboration.

On April 29, Ambassador Lee Won-jae met with Batyr Annayev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Transport and Communications. The two sides discussed prospects for economic cooperation in areas such as shipbuilding, railways, transport, and communications.

On April 27, the diplomat met with Gulshat Yusupova, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries.
