Turkmenistan exceeded its planned targets for oil and gas production and processing in January–April 2026, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The state-owned concern Türkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 107,1% and natural and associated gas production by 106,7%. The country's oil refineries exceeded planned targets in all key areas: oil refining by 104,9%, gasoline production by 113,7%, diesel fuel by 108,7%, lubricants by 110,3%, and liquefied gas by 122,1%.
Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov presented the industry's performance at a government meeting.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the need to further increase hydrocarbon production and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take comprehensive measures to fully utilize production capacity and improve the efficiency of geological exploration and drilling operations.
