The Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in the discussion of the implementation of the decisions of the EU-Central Asia summit

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, participated in a meeting on the implementation of the agreements reached at the European Union-Central Asia Summit, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels.

The meeting was also attended by Audronė Perkauskienė, Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service, Eduards Stiprais, EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Charlotte Adrian, Head of Unit at the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA), as well as ambassadors of other Central Asian countries accredited to the European Union.

Representatives of the European External Action Service assessed the political situation in the region and outlined further steps to implement the Summit's decisions, including preparations for the upcoming EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting.

EU Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais reported on recent visits to countries in the region, noting the intensification of political dialogue and expansion of practical cooperation.

The European Commission presented an overview of progress in implementing agreed priorities and projects in the areas of transport connectivity, energy, the climate agenda, critical raw materials, and digitalisation.

Ambassadors from Central Asian countries presented national approaches and ongoing initiatives, focusing on the practical implementation of projects, including infrastructure development, strengthening regional connectivity, and promoting economic and investment initiatives.

Coordination of upcoming bilateral cooperation formats, including meetings of Cooperation Councils and relevant committees, was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of maintaining the current momentum of cooperation and focusing efforts on achieving concrete results for sustainable development and mutual benefit for the European Union and the countries of Central Asia.
