Altyn Asyr's fourth-generation mobile network has been launched on the Mary-Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway. The new infrastructure provides road users with high-speed data transmission, high-quality voice and video communications, and access to navigation services and online resources while en route.
The launch of the 4G network coincided with the ceremonial opening of the final section of the highway, which was attended by Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The completion of the highway was one of the key events of the year in the country's transportation sector.
According to the operator, the deployment of modern communications standards along the highway corridor not only improves driver and passenger comfort but also directly impacts the efficiency of transport and logistics operations: reliable coverage allows carriers to use digital tools for monitoring and managing cargo in real time.
The Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway is part of an international transit corridor, connecting the country's capital with the eastern regions. According to authorities, upgrading its telecommunications infrastructure will strengthen interregional connectivity and provide additional impetus to the development of the roadside economy.
