Today, Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova met with Yegor Zaytsev, Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Ashgabat, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister Azat Ovezov, also attended the meeting, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties focused on promoting bilateral and multilateral project documents, as well as preparations for upcoming international events in this area.

Preparations for the planned event in Geneva on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing their partnership and strengthening regional cooperation in healthcare, the source noted.
