A referee from Turkmenistan will officiate matches at the Asian Beach Games in China

FIFA referee Timur Kulmuradov from Turkmenistan will officiate beach soccer matches at the VI Asian Beach Games. The competition will be held from April 22 to 30 in Sanya, Hainan Island, China.

The Games program includes 14 sports, including beach volleyball, football, jiu-jitsu, rock climbing, sailing, and aquathlon. Athletes from 45 countries will participate in the competitions.

Sanya was awarded the right to host the VI Asian Beach Games in March 2019. The competition was originally scheduled to take place from April 2 to 10, 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Asian Beach Games were first held in 2008 on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Since then, they have been held every two years. Sanya will be the second Chinese city to host the tournament. In 2012, the Games were hosted by Haiyang City in Shandong Province, eastern China. The competitions have also been held in Oman (2010), Thailand (2014), and Vietnam (2016).
