A creative competition among students in grades 10–12 of comprehensive schools in the Gyzylarbat etrap of the Balkan velayat was organized by the Department of Education as part of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and a thematic year aimed at popularizing national values and cultural heritage.

According to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the competition was held in two stages and was aimed at developing young people's interest in literature and creativity.

Participants were asked to continue lines of poetry suggested by the jury, which allowed them to demonstrate their poetic mastery and creative thinking. The works were judged on artistic quality, rhyme, rhythm, and thematic presentation.

The winners received certificates of honor and commemorative gifts. The best works are planned to be published in the media, the source notes.
