The death toll from floods caused by heavy rains in Kenya has reached 110, according to the country's Ministry of Interior and National Government Coordination, according to ru.kabar.kg.
The natural disaster affected more than 30 counties. Flooding and associated natural hazards caused severe damage to critical infrastructure and devastated local communities.
The highest death toll was recorded in the capital, Nairobi, where 37 people died. The Eastern Region came in second with 26 fatalities, and the Rift Valley region came in third with 14 deaths.
