Squares. Make two or three lengthwise cuts at equal intervals, depending on the size of the cake. Next, make several cross cuts, dividing the long sides into equal parts.
Triangles. Using the first method, cut the cake into rectangular pieces. Their number should be half as many as guests. Cut each rectangle diagonally.
