Ethiopian President invited to Turkmenistan for UN Forum

An official invitation was conveyed to Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie Amde on behalf of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to take part in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

The invitation was personally conveyed by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov during a meeting with the Special Envoy and Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Dr. Jemal Beker Abdullah at the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad.

The Ethiopian diplomat expressed interest in ensuring the participation of the Ethiopian delegation at a high level. He praised Turkmenistan's neutral and peaceful foreign policy based on the principles of mutual respect, good neighborliness and constructive interaction, noting that Turkmenistan serves as a positive example of peaceful resolution of complex regional issues.

During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on current aspects of the international and regional agenda, and outlined priority areas for further cooperation, the press service of the Turkmen Embassy in Islamabad reported.
