A bright pink truck has appeared on the streets of Mumbai with an unusual mission – to help residents get rid of items reminiscent of past romantic relationships. The vehicle offers people the opportunity to throw away personal items, souvenirs, photographs and other items that evoke painful memories of former partners, “MIR 24” reports with reference to Hindustan Times.

The initiative comes from a popular dating service that is helping Indians overcome emotional difficulties after a breakup and start a new chapter in their lives. The car has a warning sign on its side: “Caution: emotional baggage inside.”

Mumbai residents are making full use of the opportunity, getting rid of large plush toys, clothes from ex-lovers, love letters and playlists of memorable music.

In psychology, “emotional baggage” is the accumulated internal experiences, traumas, and unresolved emotions from past experiences. This psychological burden often negatively impacts new relationships, causing people who have experienced pain, betrayal, or disappointment to project their fears onto new partners even many years after the breakup, making it much more difficult to form close and trusting relationships.
