Aeroflot Airlines has launched a new service that allows passengers to independently correct errors in personal data entered when purchasing tickets. This was reported by RAMBLER with reference to the carrier’s press service.
Now customers can make corrections to basic identification data: last name, first name, middle name, passport series and number, as well as date of birth. The function is available for tickets purchased through the airline’s official channels – the Aeroflot website, contact center or branded sales offices.
The service ’s currently operating in test mode. For tickets issued through travel agencies or third-party services, the possibility of adjustment is provided only on the day of departure.
The airline draws attention to the fact that if more than one parameter in the ticket does not correspond to the presented document, the correction will not be possible. In this case, the passenger will have to return the existing ticket and purchase a new one, and such a return will not be classified as forced.
Full information about the rules and restrictions of the new service can be found on the official Aeroflot website.
