Turkmenistan has proposed that Kazakhstan create a joint transport and logistics company to develop cooperation in the transport sector. This initiative was put forward by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
"Continuing with the topic, the positive dynamics of growth of cargo transportation by road and rail transport was emphasized, in particular, within the framework of the North-South corridor. In this regard, Hero-Arkadag spoke in favor of creating new forms of cooperation, including through the establishment of a joint Turkmen-Kazakh transport and logistics company," the statement said.
