1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov personally led a mass bike ride in Ashgabat, dedicated to World Health Day. The event started in the southern part of the capital, at the foot of the Kopetdag Mountains, where the Health Trail begins, and ended in the city center at the Ruhiyet Palace. Members of the government, leaders of the Mejlis, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as athletes, students and schoolchildren took part in the large-scale sports and health event. Similar bike rides were held in the city of Arkadag and in all velayats of Turkmenistan. In addition, from April 1 to 7, various thematic events were organized throughout the country, including conferences, exhibitions, educational events and sports competitions.

2. The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and one of the leading universities of Japan, the University of Tsukuba, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to conduct joint research in the field of hydrogen energy. The signing of the memorandum took place online. The document is another important stage of cooperation in the field of education between Turkmenistan and Japan, the main goal of which is to conduct joint research in such a promising and important area as hydrogen energy, as well as the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable energy technologies.

3. A mission of the World Customs Organization (WCO) was in Ashgabat to provide technical assistance in preparing a strategic plan for the Regional Training Center in Turkmenistan. At the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, WCO experts held working meetings and seminars to analyze the training process and identify key areas for the establishment and effective functioning of the Regional Training Center.

4. Chairman of the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren arrived in Ashgabat on a visit. During the visit, the Turkish delegation held a number of meetings and visited educational and cultural sites in the capital. In an interview with journalists, Eren noted the importance of Turkmenistan for the Turkish people: “Turkmenistan is of vital importance in terms of Turkish culture and history. The greatest scholars, politicians and statesmen of Turkish-Islamic history came from this region of Khorasan and Khorezm,” he said.

5. Teachers from the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, as part of a delegation of teachers from Central Asian countries, took an active part in trainings organized at leading European universities within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Development of innovative curricula and modules on the circular economy and sustainable development”. Specialized trainings were aimed at integrating the principles of the circular economy into the educational process of universities. Within the framework of the visit, a coordination meeting of the participants was also held, during which the upcoming stages of the implementation of the project initiatives were agreed upon.

6. From April 29 to May 1, Ashgabat will become the center of international business communication. 2. Dallas-based Colossal Biosciences has announced the successful resurrection of the dire wolf, a species that once inhabited North America and went extinct more than 10 thousand years ago. Scientists have produced three puppies. The two males, named Romulus and Remus, were born on October 1 and currently weigh about 85 pounds each. The third cub, a female named Khaleesi, is about six weeks old. 1. The Turkmen football club “Arkadag” will play the first semi-final match of the AFC Challenge League against “Al Arabi” on April 9 in Kuwait City. The teams have already met in the group stage of the current AFC Challenge League. The match, which took place on November 1, 2024 in Kuwait City, ended with a victory for the hosts with a score of 3:2. On the way to the semi-finals, the Turkmen club confidently overcame the quarter-final barrier, beating the Indian “East Bengal” with a total score of 3:1. “Al Arabi” reached the semi-finals, beating the Omani club “Al Seeb” with a total score of 3:2 on aggregate.
