The National Statistical Office of Georgia (Geostat) has published data on trade turnover between Georgia and Turkmenistan for 2024. According to the report, the volume of imports from Turkmenistan to Georgia amounted to 58,09 million USD, while Georgian exports to Turkmenistan reached 22,9 million USD, Trend reports.
The bulk of Turkmen exports to Georgia were oil and oil products worth 45,4 million USD. In addition, Georgia imported petroleum coke and bitumen (4,8 million USD), gypsum-based construction mixtures (1,7 million USD), nitrogen fertilizers (1,05 million USD), and trucks (831 thousand USD) from Turkmenistan.
In turn, Georgia supplied mainly food and medical products to Turkmenistan. Thus, the export of poultry meat and offal amounted to 11,4 million dollars, orthopedic products and artificial body parts – 2,6 million dollars, packaged pharmaceuticals – 1,8 million dollars. Turkmenistan also purchased cars from Georgia for 1,1 million dollars and ethyl alcohol with alcoholic beverages for 927,2 thousand dollars.
