The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov confirmed his participation in the International Forum of Peace and Trust in a letter to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, TDH reports.
Minnikhanov thanked the National Leader of the Turkmen people for his attention to the development of Tatarstan-Turkmen cooperation aimed at strengthening relations between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, as well as for the invitation to the Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust in Ashgabat, which is scheduled to be held on December 12.
According to the head of Tatarstan, peace and trust are the most fragile values that all of humanity needs today. It is thanks to them that the security of countries and the prosperity of peoples are ensured, spirituality and harmony are strengthened.
“I am confident that holding this forum in Turkmenistan will promote preventive diplomacy, strengthen mutual trust and sustainable development of states, allowing them to solve urgent problems, while laying the foundation for long-term global stability. I will be happy to take part in this event and will be glad to meet you again within the framework of the upcoming forum,” Minnikhanov said in his letter.
In 2025, Turkmenistan plans to hold an International Forum of Peace and Trust at the level of heads of state and heads of international structures. The event is timed to coincide with the proclamation by the UN General Assembly of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust on the initiative of Turkmenistan, as well as the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality.
Previously, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed their participation in the upcoming forum.
