Ambassador of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov held a meeting with Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Tsilosani, during which the parties discussed prospects for expanding interparliamentary cooperation and agreed to strengthen the partnership between the two countries, the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission reported.
The talks considered the possibilities of developing bilateral relations in various areas, including political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian areas. The participants in the meeting paid special attention to issues of transport communications and energy cooperation.
The inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, whose activities contribute to the development of constructive dialogue between states, was named an important instrument for strengthening mutual understanding between peoples.
Following the meeting, representatives of both countries confirmed their intention to develop cooperation in all areas of interaction.
