The State Standard Center of the Main State Service «Turkmenstandartlary» has expanded its international accreditation to include a calibration laboratory for temperature measurement and a mass laboratory.
Following the assessment of the quality management system by experts of the National Accreditation Body of Hungary (NAH) on December 19, 2024, the scope of accreditation of the previously issued NAH-2-0370/2023 certificate was expanded to the Center, valid from June 22, 2023 to June 22, 2028. This was reported by Vestiabad with reference to the head of the department of scientific and methodological marketing and study of international practice of the State Standard Center, Ayna Soyunova.
The laboratories of the standard center have the competence to carry out calibrations in the following areas:
Platinum resistance thermometers (SPRT-PRT) 25.00 Ohm; 100 Ohm, calibration range from -40 to +250 o C;
Glass liquid thermometers, calibration range from -40 to +300 o C;
Calibration of weights of class E 2 F 1 F 2 M 1 M 2 M 3, calibration range from 1 mg to 1 kg;
Weighing instruments. Non-automatic electronic scales, calibration range from 0.001 g to 1 kg.
The main task of the Center is the gradual preparation of calibration laboratories for international accreditation in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025.
According to the source, the results of the calibrations carried out at the State Standard Center correspond to international calibrations, which in turn makes it possible to save foreign currency.
The Standard Center carries out consistent work to prepare for the calibration of measuring instruments used in accredited laboratories and certified enterprises of the country, the source notes.
