Today, a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Bin took place in Ashgabat. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues, noting the successful cooperation between Turkmenistan and China within the framework of international and regional structures, primarily within the UN.
It was emphasized that great importance is attached to the interstate dialogue in the “Central Asia – China” format. Along with this, inter-parliamentary and inter-party ties are being intensified, and interregional cooperation has also received a new effective impetus.
Having noted the effective partnership in the trade and economic sphere, the parties analyzed the implementation of joint activities in the field of energy, transport and communications connectivity and in the cultural and humanitarian direction, the source notes.
