A regional seminar on the integration of risk management into the veterinary control process was recently held in Ashgabat.
The event was attended by representatives of the veterinary departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, newscentralasia reports.
The seminar, organized by the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), was attended by experts from the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia, who shared best international practices in cooperation in the field of veterinary risk management, risk assessment and profiling.
The seminar also included an exchange of experience and knowledge between the participating Central Asian countries on their national risk management systems.
