Russian diplomats visited home front worker Zinaida Derbilova, who lives in Ashgabat, and handed her a congratulatory letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of her 100th anniversary, the press service of the Russian embassy reported.
During the Great Patriotic War, Zinaida Derbilova lived in the Saratov region, where she worked as an accountant at one of the rear support enterprises. Her father died at the front in 1941, and she helped her mother raise her five younger brothers and sisters.
“We wish the respected Zinaida Akimovna good health, well-being and inexhaustible vitality,” the embassy said in a statement.
