The President of Turkmenistan took part in the ascent along the Path of Health, the International Conference CIET 2024 started in Ashgabat, two new power plants were commissioned in Turkmenistan and other news
1. On November 2, with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a mass ascent along the Path of Health took place. This event was held in honor of the adoption at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly of the Resolution “United Nations Friendship Games” initiated by Turkmenistan. Before the mass ascent, a competition was announced to complete the Path of Health among representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations, university students, as well as employees of ministries and departments. More than 6 thousand people took part in the mass action.
2. The large-scale International Conference CIET 2024 has begun in Ashgabat, bringing together leading representatives of the construction, industrial and energy industries. The three-day conference program includes discussion of new investment projects in the field of electric power, construction and industry, signing of memorandums and contracts, holding seminars and round tables.Particular attention will be paid to the second stage of construction of the smart city of Arkadag.
3. The Embassy of India, together with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, organized the celebration of "Diwali", also known as Indian Unity Day, in Ashgabat. The ceremony was attended by representatives of government departments, international organizations, diplomats and cultural figures.
4. Two new power plants were launched in Turkmenistan: “Etrek” with a capacity of 220 kV in the Balkan region and “Bagyr” with a capacity of 110 kV in Ashgabat. The power plants are equipped with modern equipment from leading global manufacturers. During construction, special attention was paid to compliance with environmental requirements. During the opening ceremony, distinguished builders received gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
5. In Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the Galkan töleg mobile application, now available on both Google Play and the App Store. The application is designed for convenient online payment of fines for violating traffic rules. Users have access to simple registration via mobile phone with confirmation via SMS code.
6. In the first nine months of this year, the economy of Turkmenistan has shown stable growth of 6.3%, the country’s Minister of Finance and Economy Serdar Joraev said at the international conference “Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan - 2024”. As the minister noted, the achieved indicators are related to the active development of the industrial sector and the implementation of the program for the transition to a circular economy. In the energy sector, the country has achieved complete gasification and electrification of cities and towns.

7. Kazakhstan is introducing a new type of visa, Neo Nomad, aimed at foreign specialists working remotely. The initiative is being implemented at the direction of the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The program was developed taking into account the successful experience of more than 50 countries that have introduced similar visa regimes after the pandemic.The visa allows foreigners to live in Kazakhstan for up to 12 months while continuing to work for foreign companies. The visa is intended for a wide range of professionals, including programmers, marketers, financiers, consultants, designers and e-commerce specialists.
8. The British English Dictionary has named the adjective brat as its Word of the Year for 2024. This word has received a new meaning, characterizing confident, independent and hedonistic behavior. The popularity of the term increased significantly after the release of the album of the same name by British singer Charli XCX. Researchers note that the word has become a real cultural phenomenon, symbolizing frivolity and instability in modern society.

9. A five-day technical coaching course for Olympic solidarity in handball ended in Ashgabat, as a result of which more than 20 Turkmen specialists successfully passed the exams and received the international coaching category “D”. Certificates were presented on behalf of the International Handball Federation by Hungarian expert Zoltan Marcinka. The program included both theoretical classes and practical training on the handball court. Participants studied warm-up techniques, principles of team formation, defensive and offensive tactics. To reinforce the material, friendly matches were held between seminar participants and professional athletes.
10. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order to present 2023 Toyota Camry V6 cars to athletes Alp Arslan Begenjov, who won a gold medal at the Youth World Championships in freestyle wrestling, and Shahzadbek Matyakubov, who won a gold medal at the Youth World Championships in Weightlifting.
