1. On October 8, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he got acquainted with the projects of buildings planned as part of the second stage of the city's development. During the visit, he heard information about their decorative features and held a working meeting with the participation of relevant leaders.

2. The delegation of Turkmenistan has been invited to the next meeting of the International Monetary Fund, where key issues of ecology, the concept of “smart city” and investments in medical and agricultural clusters will be discussed. Preparatory work has already begun in accordance with the document signed by the President of Turkmenistan.

3. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree dismissing Nurberdi Chopanov from the post of mayor of Dashoguz city of Dashoguz velayat. The reason for the resignation was incompetence in the position and failure to fulfill the assigned duties. Nurnazar Handurdyev was appointed in his place, who will now act as mayor of Dashoguz city.

4. On October 7, the two-day working visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Russian Federation began to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Moscow. The participation of the head of Turkmenistan in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS on October 8 is another clear confirmation of the country's commitment to an equal constructive dialogue in the Commonwealth format, the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan notes.

5. Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan on October 11 at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Within the framework of the visit, Putin will take part in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development’ dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

6. On October 7, the Russian leader celebrated his birthday. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated Vladimir Putin on his 72nd birthday.

7. On October 6, Turkmenistan marked the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Ashgabat Earthquake of 1948 and the Heroes Who Died on the Battlefields of All Wars. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mourning ceremony of laying flowers at the monuments of the Memorial Complex “Memory of the People”.

8. On October 5, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The agenda included the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for January-September of this year, issues of ensuring security and peace in the country, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of the security forces.

11. Football club “Arkadag” under the leadership of head coach Vladimir Bayramov has won the title of champion of Turkmenistan ahead of schedule for the second year in a row. On Monday, the team representing the city of the same name of national importance, five rounds before the end of the national championship, won a convincing victory over Balkanabat “Nebitchi” with a score of 5:1. Thanks to this victory, “Arkadag” broke away from its closest pursuer, “Ahal”, by an unattainable 23 points, securing the championship title.

12. In September, athletes of the Turkmenistan national wushu sanda team won a total of 8 medals of various denominations at two major international competitions. At the 9th World Wushu Sanda Championship among young men, the main triumph of the tournament was Kerven Muhammetovezov, who won the gold medal in the 75 kg weight category. Bronze medals were added to the collection of the Turkmenistan national team by Ahmed and Eziz Muhammedov and Kurbangeldy Berdyev.

13. Young athletes from Turkmenistan demonstrated impressive results at the 3rd Asian Junior Tennis Tournament, which ended in Doha. Turkmen tennis players took the entire podium in both men's and women's competitions among players under 14 years old. In the men's singles, 12 years old Ali Geldiyev won, and in the women's tournament, 14 years old Ilima Huseynova took first place.
