Brussels Celebrates 33rd Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium organized a gala reception in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

The event brought together a wide range of participants, including ambassadors from more than 20 countries, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Brussels, European Union structures, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as heads of think tanks, the business community, the media and cultural organizations.

The event began with a ceremonial welcome of the guests, during which the anthems of Turkmenistan, Belgium and the European Union were played. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov in his speech noted the successes of Turkmenistan over the years of independence and emphasized the importance of bilateral relations with Belgium and the EU in various fields.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of a music video about Turkmenistan performed by Belgian rap artist Tony, symbolizing the cultural fusion of the two countries.
