President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the head of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdogan, who arrived in the country to participate in the celebrations of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the head of state thanked the guest for his visit and participation in the national holiday. Bilal Erdogan, in turn, congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Independence Day and conveyed warm greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wishing the Turkmen people prosperity and well-being. The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the upcoming talks and meetings will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation in the field of sports.
Turkmenistan and Turkey have centuries-old friendly relations, which serve as a solid foundation for further strengthening the interstate partnership. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country has created broad opportunities for the development of the sports movement, which is confirmed by the construction of modern sports complexes and stadiums.
